Job summary

Total Safety is seeking an IPSC Technician to join their safety-conscious team. The role works under a supervisor in a plant environment and involves inspection, testing, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of customer-owned or TSUS equipment, with regular interface to customers.

You will learn to issue, receive, track, and inspect equipment using our software, stock and prepare orders, and communicate effectively with customers while following all safety policies.

Qualifications

  • At least six months of field experience in fire protection, petrochemical, oil refinery or related industry.
  • Must have a valid driver's license from state of residence and be insurable for company vehicle.
  • Forklift experience preferred; able to pass forklift certification.
  • Must obtain at least one manufacturer's certification within six months.
  • Proficiency with PPE care and use; may require Respiratory Protection training.
  • Plant environment exposure with variable weather and noise; safe work practices essential.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, and maintain safety equipment per manufacturer requirements and document service.
  • Stock shelves with clean, tested equipment and pull/load customer orders onto trucks.
  • Issue, receive, track, and inspect equipment using company/customer software.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and build rapport quickly.
  • Work safely and adhere to TSUS and customer policies.
