Job summary

Total Safety is seeking an IPSC Technician to join a safety-conscious team in a plant setting. The role reports to a supervisor and involves inspection, testing, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of customer-owned equipment.

You will interface with customers regularly, maintain documentation, and work under TSUS policies. A six-month field background in safety-related industries is preferred, with a valid driver's license and insurability for company vehicles.

Qualifications

  • At least six months of field experience in fire protection, petrochemical, oil refinery or related industry.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and insurable vehicle.
  • Must possess safe driving record and be insurable for Total Safety vehicle insurance while driving company truck.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain it.
  • Must obtain at least one manufacturer’s certification within six months.
  • Proficiency with PPE and respiratory protection training as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, and maintain safety equipment per requirements and document service.
  • Assist with stocking, staging, and loading orders; keep area clean.
  • Issue, receive, track, and inspect equipment using company/customer software.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and build rapport.
  • Work safely and follow TSUS and customer policies.
