Job summary

Total Safety U.S. Inc. seeks an IPSC Technician to join its safety-focused team in a plant environment, performing inspection, testing, cleaning, maintenance and repair of equipment and interfacing with customers.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, six months of field experience in fire protection or petrochemical industries, a valid driver's license, forklift experience preferred, and the ability to obtain at least one manufacturer’s certification within six months.

Qualifications

• Six months of field experience in fire protection, petrochemical, oil refinery or related industry.
• Associates degree, technical or military training strongly preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and valid proof of vehicle insurance.
• Forklift certification preferred; ability to pass internal forklift certification.
• Must obtain at least one manufacturer’s certification within six months of employment.
• Proficiency with PPE and Respiratory Protection training may be required.
• Plant environment may involve exposure to wet, humid conditions, chemicals and noise.

Responsibilities

• Learns to inspect, test, and maintain safety equipment per manufacturer requirements and document service.
• Assists with stocking shelves and pulling/loading customer orders onto trucks.
• Learns to issue, receive, track, and inspect equipment using company/customer software.
• Communicates effectively with customers and builds rapport.
• Adheres to TSUS and customer policies and safety procedures.
