Job summary

Biogen, Inc. is offering a 6-month student Co-op role for the Cell Models & Molecular Biology (CMMB) group.

This position provides hands-on experience with human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and molecular biology techniques aimed at drug discovery. The ideal candidate will assist in developing experimental workflows and automate laboratory protocols, making crucial contributions to ongoing research projects.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have a background in biology, cell biology, bioengineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on laboratory experience is preferred.
• Interest in developing skills in experimental biology and laboratory automation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the generation and characterization of iPSCs and iPSC-derived cell types.
• Help automate laboratory protocols with a robotic platform.
• Perform assays to characterize cellular health and disease-associated phenotypes.
• Maintain accurate experimental records.
• Support optimization of experimental protocols.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects involving experimental design.
