Job summary

Biogen in Cambridge, MA is offering a 6-month Co-op from January to June 2027. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and characterize in vitro iPSC-based models and apply molecular biology techniques to study disease biology in the context of drug discovery.

The role emphasizes hands-on biology and automation, including translating manual workflows to automated steps with the CellXpress platform and contributing to cross-functional projects and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience with iPSC culture and molecular biology techniques.
• Interest in robotics/automation and lab automation.
• Hands-on laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with generation, maintenance, and characterization of iPSCs and iPSC-derived cell types.
• Automate selected laboratory protocols using CellXpress platform.
• Perform molecular and cellular biology assays to characterize cellular health and disease phenotypes.
• Maintain accurate experimental records and contribute to interpretation of results.
• Support development and troubleshooting of protocols to improve robustness.
