Job summary

Live Parallel is seeking an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Technician for our new cultivation facility in Gainesville, FL. You’ll work closely with growers and leadership to protect crops while supporting a fast-growing cannabis operation.

Pay Rate: $18.00 - 20.00 per hour depending on experience

Schedule & Hours: 5:30 PM - 4:00 AM, 4 day work week with a 10 hour work day

Position Summary

As an IPM Technician, you’ll be the eyes and ears of our cultivation operation, working directly with plants and partnering closely with growers and cultivation leadership to support healthy, thriving crops. Successful candidates are team-oriented, detail-focused, and ready to contribute to a high-performing cultivation environment. This role will be supporting our Surterra Wellness operations in Florida.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor cannabis plants for signs of pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and overall plant health concerns

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance crop health and operational efficiency
• Perform additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid government‑issued photo identification
• Ability to work in a highly regulated cultivation environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Six (6) months or more of agricultural, greenhouse, horticulture, nursery, or cultivation experience
• Previous experience working in a regulated production environment
• Passion for plant science and commercial cultivation
• Knowledge of common horticultural pests, diseases, and IPM practices

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly without assistance
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach throughout the workday
• Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including heat, humidity, and cooler temperatures
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Ability to climb ladders and work safely around cultivation equipment
• Comfortable working in an environment with exposure to plant materials, pollen, dust, odors, fertilizers, and varying indoor climate conditions
