Job summary

SSC Services For Education is hiring a Lawn and Ornamental Technician to eliminate pests and manage IPM applications at TAMU College Station. The role requires proper application methods, calibration, and identification of insects, arachnids, and vertebrates.

Responsibilities include following pest management SOPs, posting signs, conducting follow-up inspections, and safe handling of pesticides. Requires at least two years of IPM experience and a Texas State Certified Applicator license within

Qualifications

• Two years of IPM applications experience or equivalent education.
• Must obtain a State Certified Applicator license in Pest category within 90 days.
• Understands pesticide labels, handling, storage, calibration, and IPM tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard operating procedures for pest management (rats, mice, termites, roaches, ants, etc.).
• Post warning signs and secure area during fumigation.
• Conduct follow-up inspections and document results.
• Handle and store pesticides.
• Operate truck with power spraying equipment.
• Calibrate, maintain and repair equipment.
• Properly utilize IPM delivery tools and equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal IPM regulations.
• Record all work activities performed.
• Keep work site clean after job completion.
