Job summary

SSC Services for Education, a Compass Group division, seeks a Lawn and Ornamental Technician for our College Station, TX location. The role is full time with a Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM schedule and requires a pest control license or eligibility. Compensation ranges from $14.00 to $19.00 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Experience in IPM and pesticide handling is preferred. Apply online; positions at multiple school locations may be available.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in performing IPM applications or equivalent education.
• Must obtain a State Certified Applicator license in Pest category within 90 days.
• Understands pesticide labels and instructions, pesticide handling/storage, equipment calibration, application procedures/timing and proper utilization of basic IPM delivery tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Eliminates and controls undesirable insects and animals using proper application methods and calibration.
• Follows standard operating procedures for pest management (rats, mice, termites, cockroaches, etc.).
• Operates and maintains spraying equipment and trucks; calibrates and stores pesticides.
• Stays current on local, state, and federal IPM regulations; maintains accurate records.
