Bland Landscaping Company in North Carolina is seeking a Lawn & IPM Specialist to lead integrated pest management on client sites, diagnose turf issues, and implement precise, environmentally responsible treatments.

You will work under the Production Manager, maintain pesticide records, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and mentor crews while adapting to early mornings or evenings as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in turf management, horticulture, or a related field.
• Valid NC Driver's license with clean driving record; pesticide license preferred.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsabilités

• Specialized Horticulture & IPM execution to diagnose and treat turf and ornamental issues.
• Precise application: safely mix, load, and apply fertilizers and pesticides per IPM protocols.
• Field diagnostics to identify pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies and deploy remedies.
• Regulatory stewardship: maintain pesticide records and site histories; ensure compliance.
• Safety leadership: act as on-site safety lead for chemical handling according to EPA/state rules.
• Lead seasonal projects including flower installations and landscape enhancements.
• Winter operations: perform snow and ice management as needed for client safety.
• Operate company vehicles/trailers; maintain equipment per DOT standards.
• Adapt scheduling to maximize treatment efficacy while minimizing public exposure.
• Provide daily briefings on pest trends, soil conditions, and site challenges to management.
• Educate and mentor crews on best practices for plant health; document daily timesheets.
