Job summary

T E C Industrial Inc in Deland, FL seeks a full-time Cannabis cultivation support role in a warehouse environment. You will perform garden tasks, sanitation, pest monitoring, and record-keeping while following SOPs and safety protocols.

The position requires 21+ years old, Florida residency or commuting ability, reliable transportation, and a passion for cannabis culture. Expect long hours, occasional weekend work, and light travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and a Florida resident or willing to commute.
• High school diploma or equivalent; horticulture/cannabis knowledge is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records.
• Reliable transportation and background screening required.
• Passion for cannabis culture and industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Execute tasks in the garden based on standard operating procedures.
• Maintain logs and checklists as assigned.
• Daily cleaning, sanitation, and janitorial tasks.
• Deep cleaning and sanitation as assigned.
• Monitor pest and disease; inspect sticky cards and plants.
• Record crop walk results; note areas of concern weekly.
• Report issues to IPM Supervisor immediately.
• Maintain pesticide locker inventory; inform supervisor of needs.
• Develop knowledge of common pest/disease concerns.
• Mix pesticides, preventative agents, and cleaners.
• Operate and maintain sprayer equipment.
• Disperse beneficial insects as directed.
• Coordinate spray applications with IPM Supervisor.
• Follow SOPs and safety protocols; uphold quality.
• Pest management tasks as assigned; other duties as needed.

• Base Pay $18.00 / Hour

Description

Core Responsibilities

• Execute tasks in the garden based on standard operating procedures.
• Maintain collaborative logs and checklists as assigned.
• Daily cleaning, sanitation, and janitorial tasks to maintain a clean work environment.
• Deep cleaning, sanitation, and janitorial tasks as assigned.
• Daily monitoring and scouting of pest and disease including physically inspecting sticky cards and plants
• Weekly record keeping of crop walks, tracking areas of concern
• Report pest/disease/plant health issues immediately to IPM Supervisor
• Maintain inventory of pesticide locker and inform IPM Supervisor of any needed items
• Develop and maintain current knowledge of common pest/disease concerns
• Mixing of pesticides/preventative agents/caustic cleaning agents
• Operating and maintaining sprayer equipment
• Assist in dispersal of beneficial insects
• Coordinates scheduling of application with IPM Supervisor
• Follows standard operating procedures for assigned tasks and projects
• Follows all safety protocol
• Upholds quality standards; conducts and documents follow-up inspections
• Pest management tasks as assigned.
• Additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education, certifications, and experience in horticulture, agronomy, or cannabis cultivation are a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and able to maintain accurate records

• Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations

Work Environment:

This role operates in a warehouse with several environmentally controlled spaces. Environments inside cultivation spaces are subject to large variations in humidity, Co2, temperature, and light exposure. This role routinely uses mechanical, spray, and lighting equipment.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms and may be required to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.

Travel:

This position may require light travel.
