Job summary

Connected International, Inc. (Connected Cannabis Co.) is hiring an Integrated Pest Management Applicator Tech for the cultivation facility.

You will implement IPM programs, apply fertilizers and pesticides, and adopt practices to mitigate plant pests and pathogens to sustain pest management.

Qualifications

• Experience in agricultural crop production equipment is preferred
• Ability to pass a respiratory medical evaluation and fit test is required
• Minimum age 21 and background check required
• 2+ years experience in agriculture is preferred

Responsibilities

• Execute the IPM program as assigned by the General Manager
• Assist in improving pest control programs to reduce plant damage
• Oversee health of cultivation under controlled environment
• Complete pest assessments in each flower room
• Maintain and log forms
• Assist with treatment applications under Cultivation Manager guidance
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development
• Collaborate respectfully with team members
• Other duties as assigned

About the Job

The Integrated Pest Management Applicator Tech is responsible for implementing the integrated pest management programs at the cultivation facility. This person will apply fertilizers and pesticides as needed by the IPM program as well as implement other practices to mitigate plant pests and pathogens; apply new pest elimination tools and capture devices as needed to sustain and improve pest management.

What You Will Do

• Responsible for the execution of the IPM program as assigned by the General Manager.
• Assist in the improvement of existing pest control programs to reduce overall plant damage and disposals.
• Oversee the health of cultivation under a controlled environment.
• Assist in completing pest assessments on every flower room.
• Maintaining and logging forms.
• Under the guidance of the Cultivation Manager, assist with treatment applications, inoculations, and disease evaluations.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all employees.
• Maintain a positive attitude that promotes team work.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development as needed.
• Work collectively and respectfully with other team members.
• Other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum age of 21 years or older and pass a criminal background check
• Experience in the operation of agricultural crop production equipment (Preferred)
• Ability to pass a respiratory medical evaluation and fit test (Required)
• High School Diploma (preferred)
• 2+ years experience in agriculture (preferred)
• Working knowledge of agricultural practices, irrigation and cultivation systems.
• Scale use: Weighing and measuring
• Must be 21 years of age (or older) at the time of hire
• Proficiency of the English language, verbal and written format (preferred)
• Nice to have: PCA

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Must be able to lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs. occasionally without assistance or 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Regularly required to perform carrying, grasping, lifting, walking, standing, some bending/crouching, stooping, stretching, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
• Able to be in varying temperature and humidity environmental conditions
• Must not be allergic to or have a fear of insects.
