Job summary

Advanced Assembly is an electronics manufacturing operation within Ultratec, Inc. in Madison, WI.

The Training Specialist will provide employee training and development, conduct onboarding, and coach on technical, quality, safety, and process topics on the production floor. The role emphasizes developing training materials, maintaining records, and collaborating with Production, Quality, and Safety teams to identify training needs and improve programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical degree or certification preferred.
• Working knowledge and experience applying IPC-A-610 standards in an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Minimum three years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.
• Working knowledge of Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and 5S/6S.
• Basic understanding of OSHA and workplace safety practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including PowerPoint.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct training sessions for new and current employees.
• Develop and prepare manufacturing-related training materials.
• Provide hands‑on training and mentoring at employee workstations.
• Train employees on safety, 5S/6S, QMS requirements, IPC workmanship standards, and manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate quality data and workmanship to assess training effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
• Work with Quality and Safety teams to update procedures and training materials.
• Support safety inspections and audits.
• Deliver cross-functional training, including Lean and Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
• Address performance concerns and recommend improvements to training programs and materials.
