Our client, an established and highly respected law firm, is seeking an experienced IP Trademark Paralegal to join their team! This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in trademark matters to support sophisticated clients and work on a diverse portfolio of intellectual property matters worldwide. The IP Trademark Paralegal will provide comprehensive support to the firm’s clients on assigned trademark, copyright, and domain name matters worldwide. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing trademark portfolios, strong knowledge of USPTO procedures, and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys and clients on domestic and international trademark, copyright, and domain name matters
- Manage trademark portfolios and maintain accurate records of applications, registrations, renewals, and deadlines
- Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications, statements of use, maintenance filings, renewals, and related documents
- Assist with international trademark filings and coordinate with foreign counsel
- Conduct trademark searches and assist with clearance and prosecution matters
- Monitor and manage docket deadlines and ensure timely completion of filings and other requirements
- Assist with trademark office actions, correspondence, and other prosecution-related matters
- Support copyright registrations and domain name matters as needed
- Communicate with clients, government agencies, foreign counsel, and other outside parties
- Prepare reports, status updates, and other documentation for clients and attorneys
- Maintain organized and accurate electronic and physical files
- Provide additional administrative and project support to the IP team as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a trademark/IP paralegal, preferably within a law firm environment
- Strong experience with U.S. trademark prosecution and portfolio management
- Knowledge of USPTO procedures and trademark filing requirements
- Experience with international trademark matters and foreign counsel is a plus
- Experience with copyright and domain name matters preferred
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research/docketing systems
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and other team members
