Watts & Associates Recruitment is partnering with a premier Am Law 100 firm to recruit an IP Litigation Associate for its Washington, DC / Los Angeles, CA / San Francisco, CA platform. The role centers on sophisticated patent, technology and trade-secret disputes for major tech, life-sciences and corporate clients.

The successful attorney will work closely with partners and senior attorneys, taking ownership of substantive matters, and gaining exposure to high-value work and cross-practice

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of substantive ip and patent litigation experience.
• Experience handling high-value patent, technology and trade-secret disputes for sophisticated clients.
• Strong drafting, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet demanding deadlines.
• Strong academic credentials and experience in a sophisticated law-firm environment.
• Technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, software or related field preferred.
• Admission in the relevant office jurisdiction or eligibility to waive in promptly.

Responsibilities

• Support complex patent, trade-secret and technology disputes in federal courts and specialist forums.
• Draft substantive motions, briefs, discovery materials and expert submissions.
• Manage fact and expert discovery, depositions, technical records and key case workstreams.

The Role

The successful attorney will support and lead key components of ip and patent litigation matters, including:

• Support complex patent, trade-secret and technology disputes in federal courts and specialist forums.
