Eastman Industrial Supply, Inc. in Kingsport, TN is seeking an IP Legal Specialist to support Eastman’s global patent portfolio. You will coordinate filings, manage critical deadlines, and maintain accurate portfolio information in a collaborative environment.

You will work with internal teams, outside counsel, and service providers to move matters forward, ensuring accuracy and continual process improvement while handling confidential information with integrity.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
• Strong communication, proofreading, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn specialized legal and filing systems and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support patent filings for U.S. and international applications.
• Monitor docketed tasks, filing requirements, and follow-up activities.
• Review documents, filing data, fees, and records before and after submission.
• Maintain Anaqua records, electronic files, and prosecution histories.
• Coordinate with internal teams, outside counsel, service providers, and patent offices.
• Identify issues, manage priorities, escalation, and improve processes.
