Job summary

Jackson Walker, LLP seeks an Intellectual Property Paralegal to provide specialized legal and administrative support to IP attorneys. You will draft and file patent, trademark, and copyright applications, manage filings with USPTO and other offices, and coordinate with clients and foreign counsel while maintaining strict confidentiality.

This is an on-site role in Austin with a focus on timely deadlines and precise document handling.

Qualifications

• IP law experience and familiarity with patent/trademark processes.
• Attention to accuracy in drafting and filing documents.
• Paralegal certification and relevant degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with drafting patent, trademark, and copyright applications and responses to Office Actions.
• Prepare and file documents with the USPTO and U.S. Copyright Office.
• Coordinate with foreign counsel regarding international filings and IP matters.
• Coordinate maintenance of issued patents and registered trademarks, including domestic and foreign filings.
• Access USPTO systems and docketing tools; manage deadlines and communications.
• Organize client materials and maintain matter files.
• Communicate with USPTO personnel and clients regarding filings and status.
