Purdue Research Foundation seeks an IP Paralegal to support patent prosecution and IP management. The role involves drafting documents, submitting forms, and coordinating deadlines within a dynamic research environment.

Office of Technology Commercialization supports groundbreaking work; travel/local attendance may be required. Minimum paralegal experience and strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• IP background required with ability to manage patent prosecution matters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in a legal context.
• Extensive organizational skills to handle deadlines and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Create new patent prosecution matters and manage IP details.
• Draft IP prosecution documents for attorney review/revision.
• Submit USPTO/EFS regular forms for patent filing and prosecution.
• Prioritize, route, and follow up on IP correspondences.
• Coordinate IP deadlines, review file history, and track information.
• Enter, track, and link IP data; scan and link documents to database.
• Prepare and issue weekly docket; close and archive files.
