Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in San Antonio, TX is seeking a network engineer to design, deploy, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical IP/MPLS and security infrastructures for enterprise and service-provider environments.

Responsibilities include configuring IS-IS, OSPF and BGP, deploying MPLS technologies, and managing Nokia equipment (7250 IXR, 7705 SAR, 7210 SAS) and Palo Alto Firewalls with Panorama. Strong collaboration on automation is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of IP/MPLS networking experience with design, deployment and support.
• Deep expertise in IS-IS, OSPF and BGP routing protocols.
• Hands-on with MPLS technologies (MPLS-TE, MPLS-TP, SR).
• Experience with Nokia devices (7250 IXR, 7705 SAR, 7210 SAS) and SR OS.
• Knowledge of EVPN, VPLS, VPWS, L2VPN/L3VPN, Carrier Ethernet and QoS.
• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and performance optimization skills.
• Security-focused infrastructure design and network automation via IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support mission-critical IP/MPLS networks for high availability.
• Configure and troubleshoot IS-IS, OSPF and BGP in complex environments.
• Deploy MPLS-TE, MPLS-TP and Segment Routing (SR).
• Administer Nokia NSP environments and Palo Alto Firewalls / Panorama.
• Perform monitoring, fault isolation and incident resolution; document designs (HLD/LLD).
• Collaborate across teams on upgrades, migrations, and automation initiatives using IaC.
