Job summary

The position is a hybrid Associate Attorney role in Intellectual Property Litigation at a leading international AmLaw 50 firm. It offers work on high-stakes patent and trade secret disputes for major clients across the country, including ITC, PTAB and federal courts.

Multiple locations, including Boston, are available. Ideal candidates hold a JD from a top law school, active bar admission, and 2–4 years of IP litigation experience with strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with strong academic record.
• Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 2–4 years of substantive IP litigation experience, including patent and/or trade secret disputes.
• Trial experience and ITC/IPR exposure highly valued.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• Strong research, writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage matters independently; entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex IP disputes including patent and trade secret litigation.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies in federal courts, ITC, and administrative proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery and other substantive legal documents.
• Coordinate discovery including e-discovery with clients, co-counsel and vendors.
• Conduct depositions and support trial teams; participate in hearings and trials.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates to deliver client service.
• Engage with clients in strategic planning and IP risk assessment.
