Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an Intellectual Property (IP) Assistant for a 12-week temporary assignment with a Boston law firm. The role supports a busy Life Sciences practice, assisting with patent prosecution, USPTO filings, docket management, IDS preparation, prior art tracking and attorney support.

This opportunity offers exposure to a collaborative firm serving innovative biotechnology and life sciences clients in Boston.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of IP/legal support or law firm experience preferred.
• Experience with USPTO filings and patent prosecution support preferred.
• Strong docketing, calendaring and deadline management skills.
• Experience preparing IDS, prior art lists and related patent documentation.

Responsibilities

This role will support a busy Life Sciences practice and assist with patent prosecution, USPTO filings, docket management, IDS preparation, prior art tracking, and attorney support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 2+ years of law firm, intellectual property, patent prosecution, or legal support experience preferred
• Experience with USPTO filings and patent prosecution support
• Strong docketing, calendaring, and deadline management skills
• Experience preparing Information Disclosure Statements (IDS), prior art lists, and related patent documentation preferred
• Ability to manage domestic and foreign patent matters and maintain accurate case data
