Job summary

J.S. Held seeks an Analyst to join its Intellectual Property team in Chicago. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person to handle financial modeling, industry research, and client-facing work in a fast-paced IP practice.

Hybrid in-office schedule in Chicago, IL, with flexibility. Requires a Bachelor’s in finance, accounting, or economics, strong GPA, and excellent Excel/PowerPoint skills; prior investment banking or PE experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting and/or economics
• Academic success – minimum 3.5 GPA
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• High degree of professionalism, integrity, flexibility
• Exceptional analytical skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Creating complex financial models
• Performing and synthesizing in-depth industry, technology, and company-specific research
• Writing reports and preparing presentations
• Attending client meetings to collect information for analyses
• Reviewing and analyzing financial, marketing and other documents produced in litigation
• Critiquing opposing parties' economic arguments
