Job summary

Sterne Kessler is seeking a Docketing Team Leader to oversee daily docketing operations and lead a dedicated team in our DC metro area. The role requires ensuring compliance with patent/trademark docketing standards and coordinating with IT and prosecution groups to support client needs.

The ideal candidate hasIP docketing experience and at least 3 years of supervisory work, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IP docketing experience and 3+ years of supervisory or team lead experience.
• Proficient in computer equipment including firm software and docketing/workflow systems.
• Innovative and capable of embracing new concepts and leading others to do the same.
• Strong people management skills with problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the docketing team and coach staff.
• Provide routine coaching, feedback, and performance assessments.
• Ensure compliance with firm policies and SLAs; maintain docketing accuracy.
• Collaborate with IT, Foreign Filing, U.S. Prosecution, and other teams to support needs.
• Update procedural/training documentation related to docketing systems.
