Job summary

Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP seeks an IP Docketing Supervisor to lead the docketing team and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of patent and trademark docketing activities. This hands-on leadership role requires deep docketing expertise and strong people management skills.

The role supports attorneys and professionals, driving process improvements and system changes. 1–2 days in the office weekly, hybrid work arrangement, with a salary range communicated by the firm.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive IP prosecution docketing experience, including supervising a docketing team.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-directed, self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. and foreign patent and trademark prosecution.
• Proficiency with IP docketing/management systems (CPI, PATTSY, Anaqua or similar).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
• Demonstrated leadership skills to mentor and retain a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage docketing staff by assigning work and monitoring workload.
• Recruit, onboard, train new team members; approve timecards and coordinate backups.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of docketing activities with strict adherence to policies.
• Maintain docketing policies; monitor changes in rules and update procedures.
