Job summary

Polsinelli PC seeks a Department Operations Specialist to optimize IP department operations in Kansas City or St. Louis. You’ll partner with leadership to design procedures, manage budgets, and track projects while aligning with firm goals.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in operations or financial analysis, strong analytic skills, and proficiency with MS Office and project/reporting tools. Collaboration across Finance, HR, IT, and Marketing is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; concentrations in business, finance, or accounting are a plus.
• 5+ years in business operations, financial or data analysis, or project management, ideally in a legal environment.
• Experience with budgets and financial reporting processes.
• Strong project management and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enhance procedures, workflows, and reporting to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate department calendars, meetings, and planning sessions for accountability.
• Forecast, track expenses, and perform variance analysis for the department budget.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for leadership and collaborate with Finance.
• Manage department initiatives, track progress, and communicate milestones and risks.
