Job summary

EMERGE, a nationally recognized law firm, seeks a Department Operations Specialist to partner with IP leadership in overseeing daily operations and budgets. This role focuses on financial analysis, forecasting, and process improvements to support strategic initiatives across cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in business operations or financial analysis within a professional services environment, with strong Excel and reporting tool skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in business operations, project management, financial analysis, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
• Strong budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, and operational analysis experience.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills with multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attorneys, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, esp. Excel; familiarity with Power BI and reporting tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with IP department leadership to oversee daily operations, streamline workflows, and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Manage department budgets, financial forecasting, and reporting to support strategic planning.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, monitor performance, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Coordinate and manage departmental projects and strategic initiatives, including timelines.
