Job summary

Roblox Corporation is seeking an Intellectual Property Counsel to join its Legal and Advocacy team. The role focuses on IP enforcement, platform liability, and protection of trademarks and copyrights for a global consumer-facing platform.

Candidates should have 5+ years of experience, be admitted to at least one US state bar, and be capable of guiding internal partners, drafting notices, and coordinating with external counsel. Based in San Mateo, CA with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Strong IP law knowledge across trademark and copyright, with brand enforcement experience.
• Experience counseling on platform liability in tech environments.
• Ability to educate internal stakeholders and translate complex legal concepts.

Responsibilities

• Help manage active IP disputes end-to-end with internal teams and outside counsel.
• Assess off-platform infringement reports and coordinate enforcement.
• Draft/cold-desist letters, DMCA takedowns, and platform IP complaints.
• Oversee IP notice-and-takedown programs with Trust & Safety and cross-functional teams.
• Advise on platform liability issues for new launches and compliance efforts.
