Job summary

Buchalter in Atlanta seeks a Special Counsel to join its Intellectual Property Practice Group. The role focuses on trademark portfolio management, brand protection, advertising and technology matters, with strong client-facing duties.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience across IP counsel, digital marketing compliance, and cross-functional collaboration, and will draft, negotiate, and advise on complex IP agreements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IP law experience.
• Trademark portfolio management experience.
• Experience with digital marketing and advertising matters incl. FTC compliance.
• Ability to work with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Strong drafting, analytical, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on intellectual property matters and brand strategy.
• Counsel on trademark clearance, prosecution and enforcement.
• Review and negotiate IP, marketing, SaaS and software licenses.
• Coordinate with outside counsel domestically and internationally.
