Minnesota Timberwolves is seeking capable staff to oversee a group of 10+ players during basketball clinics, providing instruction, energy, and encouragement. The role supports camp operations, including setup and breakdown, under the supervision of the Camp Director.

Experience with children and strong communication are essential, with flexible hours including nights and weekends. Previous basketball experience is required; pursuing a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Position Summary/Objective

Individuals in this position will be responsible for overseeing group of 10+ players on-court and providing basketball instruction, encouragement, and energy.

Clinic dates are on September 4th, October 23rd, November 6th and 9th, March 5th and 22nd, April 2nd and 19th, May 17th and 21st.

Essential Functions

• Work closely with camp/clinic Director to set up and break down clinic.
• Solve facility/player issues with creative problem solving.
• Work closely with Site Director to ensure quality control.
• Assist with demonstrations of Academy concepts and values

Pay Rate

$12.00 per hour

Experience

Previous basketball experience is required.

Education

Pursuit of bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibility

Work Environment

Work is active and energetic in nature. The position operates out of a sports facility. The working environment is favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by dust, etc. The noise level is loud during events. During events work is generally performed on court, around the gym and bleachers/steps, as well as in the open hallways and entrance of school/community centers.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others in person. The employee frequently is required be on feet and lead basketball instruction. The employee rarely remains in stationary position and is frequently required to perform athletic movements. Staff may assist with set-up/break-down at camp/clinic weighing up to 20 pounds.
