Job summary

Planned Parenthood North Central States is seeking an Organizing & Advocacy Manager for Iowa. You will lead grassroots organizing, coalition-building, and advocacy across the state, coordinating with the Public Affairs team to strengthen community relationships and develop volunteers.

You will supervise interns and staff, manage data/reporting, and support electoral campaigns aligned with PP’s mission to advance reproductive health care for all.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years combined experience in grassroots community organizing, campaign experience, and/or volunteer and staff management.
• Proven experience with communicating mission and process to volunteers and community partners via both written and verbal channels.
• Experience in a volunteer or paid role with a campaign as part of the electoral process.
• Willingness to travel throughout the state of Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional advocacy and organizing plans for assigned constituencies and capacity programs across Iowa.
• Leverage regional advocacy strategies and organizing plans to support grassroots advocacy and lobbying.
• Partner with organizing staff to recruit, engage, and develop volunteers, supporters, and community leaders.
• Support relationship-building with community partners, allied organizations, and coalitions to strengthen organizing.
• Represent the organization in coalitions, community events, task forces, committees, and spaces.
• Evaluate campaign progress and adjust organizing strategies to meet goals.
