Job summary

Planned Parenthood North Central States is seeking an Organizing & Advocacy Manager for Iowa. You will lead grassroots organizing and advocacy efforts, build networks, recruit volunteers, and support coalitions to advance reproductive healthcare rights.

The role collaborates with the Public Affairs team to measure outcomes, supervise interns and staff, and develop organizing plans aligned with mission and goals. Travel across Iowa is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years combined experience in grassroots community organizing, campaign experience, and/or volunteer and staff management.
• Proven experience with communicating mission and process to volunteers and community partners via both written and verbal channels.
• Experience in a volunteer or paid role with a campaign as part of the electoral process.
• Willingness to travel throughout the state of Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional advocacy and organizing plans for assigned constituencies and capacity programs across Iowa.
• Leverage regional advocacy strategies to support grassroots advocacy and lobbying in state/federal context.
• Partner with staff to recruit, engage, and develop volunteers, supporters, and community leaders.
• Support relationship-building with community partners, allied organizations, and coalitions.
• Represent the organization in coalitions, community events, task forces, committees, and partnership spaces.
• Evaluate campaign progress and adjust organizing strategies and tactics.
