Job summary

Nicolet Law Firm seeks a licensed Iowa attorney to join its Personal Injury practice. The attorney will handle record review, legal research, writing, negotiations, discovery, depositions, and trials for injured clients across the Midwest.

A JD and admission to the Iowa Bar are required, with at least two years of PI experience preferred. The role involves in-person client meetings, frequent interactions with support staff, and travel to meet clients across multiple Midwest offices.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in Iowa.
• Minimum two years of attorney experience; personal injury preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a personal injury caseload including auto accidents, dog bites, slip and fall, wrongful death.
• Conduct initial client consultations and case evaluations.
• Review and summarize case records (insurance, medical, police reports).
• Draft and file legal documents (pleadings, motions, discovery).
• Prepare for depositions and defend witnesses; represent clients in mediation and court proceedings.
