Job summary

Facility Contract Services (FCS) is seeking an IoT Specialist to provide technical and field support for the City’s networked and non-networked IoT and physical security systems in Pembroke Pines, FL.

You will install PoE/IP cameras, access control devices, gates, and related cabling and software, troubleshooter field devices end-to-end, and coordinate with Municipal Security Unit staff, vendors, and electricians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three years of experience with low-volume electronic systems, IP video surveillance, or access control.
• Ability to read technical documentation and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test IP/PoE surveillance cameras and related equipment.
• Install and maintain access control field devices including readers, controllers, and electric strikes.
• Diagnose low-voltage, cabling, power, and connectivity failures across field devices and networks.
• Support Video Management Systems and access control platforms; coordinate with vendors and city personnel.
