We are hiring an IoT Solutions Architecture Manager to lead a regionally-focused team of Field Engineers in Presales and Professional Services. The role involves solution architecture, design, and delivery to customers.
Location: This is a remote role, managing a team in one of three Geos: Americas, EMEA, or APAC. You must be located in one of these regions to oversee the team spanning multiple time zones.
Our IoT mission is to enable companies to develop secure, connected device fleets. Canonical provides the Ubuntu OS and kernel, with secure update and management mechanisms. Our customers create mission-critical control systems, gateways, and appliances that meet high security and quality standards. We aim to extend this security to the consumer electronics and device markets.
Our Field Engineers are thought leaders in embedded Linux strategy and delivery, passionate about solving complex problems and helping customers achieve technical and business goals. They advocate for open source and connected devices, focusing on edge compute. They also mentor colleagues to deepen their technical understanding, manage time effectively, and understand customer business needs for continuous improvement.
This role requires a blend of skills. Successful candidates will have strong Linux knowledge, proficiency in coding and scripting, experience with low-level Linux boot, BIOS, firmware, and embedded software development methodologies. They should thrive in dynamic environments and be motivated by ambitious technological and entrepreneurial projects. They are business-oriented, collaborative, and proud of team and company successes.
