We are hiring an IoT Solutions Architecture Manager to lead a regionally-focused team of Field engineers in Presales and Professional Services, assisting customers with solution architecture, design, and delivery.
Location: This is a remote role, managing a team in one of three regions: Americas, EMEA, or APAC. You must be located in one of these regions to manage the respective team, which spans multiple time zones.
Our IoT mission is to enable companies to create secure connected device fleets. Canonical provides the Ubuntu OS and kernel, with secure update and management mechanisms. Our customers develop mission-critical control systems, gateways, and appliances meeting strict security and quality standards. We aim to bring this level of security to consumer electronics and devices.
Our Field Engineers are thought leaders, helping customers solve complex problems. They are accomplished technologists with a hands-on approach to embedded Linux strategy and delivery. They are passionate about helping customers achieve technical and business goals and about demonstrating how Canonical’s open source approach benefits emerging edge compute fields. They also develop colleagues, enhancing their understanding of technology, customer business thinking, and personal growth.
This role requires a unique skill set. Candidates should have strong Linux knowledge, coding and scripting proficiency, experience with Linux boot processes, BIOS, firmware, and embedded software development. They should thrive in a fast-paced environment with diverse client engagements and be driven, business-oriented technologists who value teamwork and success.
