Job summary

Procellis Technology, Inc. in the Twin Cities area is seeking an IoT Network Technician to support a vehicle-based IoT network. This hands-on role involves installing, configuring and deploying new devices, and performing regular maintenance.

You will work 1:00 PM–9:00 PM, travel 90% within the Twin Cities, and provide clear daily reports. A 2–3 year IoT background and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years hands-on IoT experience required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Installation & Deployment: Test, configure and deploy new IoT devices onto large vehicles.
• Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and routine testing.
• Troubleshooting: Identify equipment failures and remediation activities.
• Communication: Provide daily reports on system health.

The Role: IoT Network Technician

You will be a key player in ensuring the seamless operation of a major vehicle-based IoT network. This role is perfect for someone who loves to be on the move and prefers a "hands-on" environment over a desk.

• Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM (Monday - Friday)
• Location: 90% daily travel within the Twin Cities (company vehicle provided).
• Environment: Indoor/outdoor sites and base testing facilities.
• Skills: working on DVRs, routers, tablets, antennas, etc.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installation & Deployment: Test, configure and deploy new IoT devices onto large vehicles.
• Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, and routine testing.
• Troubleshooting: Identify equipment failures and execute remediation activities.
• Communication: Coordinate with team leads and provide clear daily reports on system health.

What You Bring to the Table

• Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on IoT experience, a plus if you have general IT experience and IT help desk experience and working in electronics.
• Skills: Proficiency with hand/pneumatic tools and strong troubleshooting skills. A plus if your knowledgeable in TCP/IP, DHCP/DNS, VLANs, VPN/IPsec, cellular networking, routers and network troubleshooting.
• Logistics: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record (mandatory).
• Physical Ability: Comfortable walking, climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, time management, and a team-first attitude.
• Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.

Salary: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
