Job summary

Flexible IT on Long Island seeks a skilled Low Voltage Technician to install and maintain structured cabling, access control, and IP surveillance systems at client sites. You will perform data/voice/fiber cabling, rack equipment, and CCTV configuration, often traveling to customer locations across Long Island.

Qualified candidates bring experience reading blueprints, understanding schematics, and basic networking knowledge of routers and switches.

Qualifications

• Experience in structured cabling, data, voice, fiber, and paging installations.
• Ability to read blueprints and cable schematics.
• Networking knowledge of routers and switches helpful.
• BICSI training and/or certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform Cable installation, including Data, Voice, Fiber, and Paging.
• Installation of Data Equipment including Racks, Patch Panels, Cable Trays, and J-Hooks.
• Buildout of MDF/IDF Closets and rack/stack network devices.
• Configure Access Control cabling, readers, and locks.
• IP Surveillance cabling and CCTV installation, analytics setup.
