Job summary
Flexible IT is Long Island's largest Managed Services Provider, seeking a motivated Low Voltage Technician to join our Hardware Services Team. You will perform structured cabling, access control, and IP surveillance installations across client sites on Long Island and beyond.
You will travel to client sites, install and configure cabling, cameras, readers, and controllers, and troubleshoot cabling systems. A background in BICSI training is preferred, with a focus on safety and quality
Qualifications
- Experience with structured cabling installations, terminations, testing, and labeling.
- Knowledge of access control cabling, readers, and credential setup.
- Experience installing IP surveillance cameras and configuring DVR systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and cable schematics for installs.
- Networking knowledge of routers and switches is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Perform structured cabling installations for data, voice, fiber, and paging.
- Terminate, label, test, and dress cabling; build MDF/IDF closets.
- Install data equipment: racks, patch panels, cable trays, J-hooks.
- Install, wire, and configure access control systems and readers.
- Install IP cameras, configure analytics and DVRs; support video systems.
