Job summary

GroundWork Renewables is seeking a Hardware Commercialization Engineer to validate and certify embedded IoT instrumentation for utility-scale solar sites. You will own test plans, DVT, and reliability programs spanning power electronics, precision analog front ends, and RF subsystems.

You will collaborate with firmware, data, and field teams and coordinate with contract manufacturers and ISO/IEC test labs. Travel 20–25% to Burbank, CA manufacturing and field sites; Albuquerque, NM preferred,

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in hardware product development.
• Experience with precision analog, high-voltage/high-current sensing, data acquisition.
• Led certification through NRTL and standards bodies (UL 1741, UL/IEC 61010, FCC Part 15).

Responsibilities

• Define requirements, build test plans, and run DVT on power, analog/DAQ, and RF subsystems.
• Lead reliability and environmental testing programs (thermal cycling, humidity, vibration).
• Own certification processes with test labs and maintain documentation.
• Oversee PCB fabrication/assembly vendors and drive DFx from prototype to production.
