Job summary
Freeport-McMoRan in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an IoT field engineer to deploy industrial IoT solutions, connect assets to enterprise data platforms, and drive operational insight across sites. Under supervision, you will configure field devices, manage data ingestion, and support ongoing reliability by diagnosing issues and documenting incidents; a strong customer-service mindset helps collaboration.
Applicants should have a Bachelor's in Information Systems/CS/Electrical or five years' IoT
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical or related mining discipline with 1 year IoT/field device experience.
- Or: High School diploma with 5 years IoT/field device experience including low-voltage devices and wiring.
Responsibilities
- Deploy IoT field engineering engagements by gathering requirements and supporting standardized designs.
- Configure and program field devices and ingestion components within vendor platforms.
- Perform root-cause analysis of failures and data quality issues; document post-incident findings.
