Freeport-McMoRan is seeking an IoT field engineer to deploy industrial IoT solutions and connect physical assets to enterprise data platforms. You will perform hardware selection, device configuration, and handoffs to site teams in alignment with enterprise standards.
Under supervision, you will configure and program field devices, support data ingestion components, and perform root-cause analysis of failures while documenting incidents for continuous improvement.

Under direct supervision, deploy industrial IoT solutions that connect physical assets to enterprise data platforms, enabling operational insight and automation across sites, while focusing on field engineering tasks such as hardware selection, device configuration, and solution handoff to site teams in alignment with enterprise standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical or a mining‑related Engineering discipline, and one (1) year of experience in industrial IoT or field device engineering/instrumentation implementation projects.
High School diploma or GED and five (5) years of experience in IoT‑related technologies, including demonstrated hands‑on experience with low‑voltage field devices including cameras, sensors or data loggers, and associated field wiring and communications infrastructure. Must be customer service‑oriented and possess good organizational and interpersonal skills.
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently$75,000-$104,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job‑related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
