Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking an experienced IoT Lead to design and deploy industrial IoT solutions across sites, serving as the technical lead for field engineering projects and guiding deployment within established patterns.

The role involves creating streaming analytics, real-time dashboards, and data transformations to turn telemetry into actionable insights, while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 1 year of relevant Eng/Tech support experience including IoT infrastructure and cloud data concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years IoT solutions development, implementation, and integration projects.
• High School + 7 years of IoT tech, software, or data loggers with field devices experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced IoT field engineering projects, end-to-end design, gather requirements, direct execution, ensure successful handoff.
• Design and implement streaming analytics and real-time dashboards to enable operational decisions.
• Configure and program field devices and ingestion components, build reusable patterns for scalable deployments.
• Provide architecture input, participate in design reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
• Perform advanced root cause analysis while maintaining stakeholder communication.
