Job summary

Edison Smart® is seeking software engineers to build data-driven applications that bring intelligence to the supply chain. You will work on an IoT cloud platform, interface with device data, and integrate with enterprise systems to deliver scalable software end-to-end.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years of backend or full‑stack experience, strong cloud skills (AWS/Azure/GCP), and hands-on Spark. You’ll design RESTful APIs and microservices, support testing and CI/CD, and collaborate across product,

Qualifications

3-6 years of backend or full-stack software experience.
Strong cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Hands-on Apache Spark knowledge.
Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
Relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
Experience working in agile, fast-moving teams.
Strong debugging and system design skills.
Willing to work in a hybrid model out of Dallas or NYC.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain microservices in Python powering the core platform.
Architect backend services and APIs that turn sensor data into enterprise-ready insights.
Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to keep pipelines flowing.
Contribute to requirements shaping and product direction.
Maintain performance, security, and scalability as the platform grows.
Triage production issues and drive them to resolution.
Cover code with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; support CI/CD.
