This hands-on role focuses on designing, building, and deploying applications that interface with an IoT cloud platform, device data, and enterprise systems. You’ll work with product managers, hardware teams, and customer-facing leads to deliver high-impact software at scale.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of backend or full-stack experience.
• Experience with a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on Apache Spark experience.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Experience in agile, fast-moving teams.
• Hybrid work from Dallas or NYC is supported.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain microservices in Python powering core platform components.
• Architect backend services and APIs to transform sensor data into usable enterprise insights.
• Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to keep pipelines running in real time and batch modes.
• Shape requirements and product direction, not just code to spec.
• Focus on performance, security, and scalability as the platform grows.
• Investigate production issues and drive them to resolution.
• Cover code with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Help evolve CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Document technical decisions and share knowledge with the team.
