Job summary

Redfin is seeking an iOS Mobile Software Engineer I to join a fast-paced team building engaging experiences for home buyers and sellers. The role combines in-office collaboration on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Seattle, San Francisco, or Detroit with remote work on other days.

You will contribute to complex projects, review code, and work with product and design to deliver well-architected iOS apps using Swift and SwiftUI, including AI-assisted coding tools.

As an iOS Mobile Software Engineer I, you’ll join a passionate team working to build engaging experiences to make it easy for users to find their next home. We support the infrastructure to ensure our app is fast and stable and build features for our customers that allow them to interact with the home buying experience while on the move.

About the Role

• Contribute to complex, technical projects that change the way people make one of the biggest decisions of their lives.


• Collaborate with your teammates by reviewing code, writing documentation, and building maintainable and testable codebases.


• Work closely with our product and design teams to understand user and business needs.


• Leverage iOS best practices and design principles, bringing in industry trends where applicable.


• Use approved AI code generation tools to document, architect, and create code.

About You

• You are a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area.


• You have 6+ months of Native iOS development experience through technical internships or other professional experience.


• You have practical experience building iOS applications in Swift and SwiftUI and a solid understanding of computer science and engineering fundamentals.


• Effective communication: you can collaborate across distances and experience levels, and you can disagree constructively with respect for everyone’s opinions and ideas.


• You stay on top of what’s happening in the iOS community and are always looking for ways to improve the products you make.


• You love working with a smart, talented team because you know that makes you better.


• You have a passion for well-architected, clean, well-written code.


• Experience with running experiments and experimentation frameworks a plus.


• You have experience using AI code generation tools tools such as GitHub CoPilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.

On-Call Expectations

This role may include participation in an on-call rotation to support production systems and ensure service reliability. On-call responsibilities may include coverage during nights and weekends. If applicable, frequency and scheduling will be determined by team needs and communicated accordingly.

The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, incentives, and other employment-related benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K retirement plan, and paid-time off.
