Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking an experienced iOS Developer based in Chicago with hybrid/flexible work options. You will develop iOS client code that aligns with product strategy and engineering guidelines, delivering high-quality user experiences.

You will collaborate with Software Engineers, UX/UI, QA, and Product Owners to ensure performance and usability, participate in agile ceremonies, and stay current with Swift, SwiftUI, and related libraries.

• Be an active advocate of the mobile platform within developer communities.
• Remain an active learner in Swift, Kotlin, and related libraries.
• Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Swift idioms.

Rate: $82/hr

Contract Length: 6+ months

• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude) and integrating AI-assisted workflows
• Experience with open source frameworks and automated test tooling

Required Qualifications (must Have)

• Experience building IOS applications

• Supports customer-facing digital experiences
• Enables mobile app and web platform capabilities
• Partners closely with Product, UX, Mobile Engineers, and Front-End Engineers
• Delivers scalable customer engagement and messaging solutions

Project Details and Day‐‐Day:

• Develop iOS client code solutions that deliver on Product Strategy and adhere to established engineering best practices, design guidelines and principles
• Partner with Software Engineers, UX/UI, Quality Engineers, Product Owners/Analysts to deliver high performing quality customer experiences that are engaging, purposeful and powerful in their simplicity
• Actively participate in all team agile ceremonies, contributing to ensure that all team commitments are delivered on time and of the highest quality
• Be an active advocate of the mobile platform through both internal and external developer communities
• Remain an active learner in all technologies related to mobile development (Swift, Kotlin, 3rd party libraries, etc.)
• Influence and contribute to group discussions and incorporate feedback/communication from the broader team
• Actively engage with developers outside of the local sprint team across various disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.)
• Own delivery of major components and platform needs in partnership with senior engineers and Architects
• Identify technical obstacles early and work closely with the team to find creative solutions
• Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Swift and other language idioms
