Job summary

Wolfspeed in Marcy, NY, is seeking an electronics/engineering technician to provide process sustaining support in an automated semiconductor production environment. The role focuses on Ion Implantation, with a 12-hour day shift on a 3on-4off-4on-3off schedule and Front End Nights: Sun–Tue and every other Sat, 6pm–6:15am.

You will collaborate with Engineering to qualify new processes and tools, document DOE data, and help achieve quarterly yield and cycle-time goals, while following procedures

Qualifications

• Associate degree in EET or MET or relevant technical field, or equivalent semiconductor experience.
• Experience with structured problem solving (5Y and 8Ds).
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to follow written procedures and documentation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong technical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineering to develop and qualify new processes and tool sets.
• Characterize, document, and present DOE data.
• Report and resolve process issues and equipment non-conformances with teams.
• Handle material dispositions and resolve lot issues.
• Assist in creating/refining procedures and maintain test lot inventory.
• Work to achieve quarterly yield and cycle-time goals.
