Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise is seeking an Implant Equipment Engineer to own the ion implantation process development and sustainment crucial for high‑volume manufacturing.

You will collaborate with equipment, integration, yield, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust process performance, yield stability, and safe execution in a fast‑paced fab. The role requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of semiconductor implant experience, with willingness to learn Agentic AI to enhance workflow

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Materials, Physics, or related field).
• 2+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience with implant process ownership or development.
• OR equivalent military experience, OR Associate degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of Agentic AI or willingness to learn Agentic AI to help develop efficient workflow.

Responsibilities

• Own ion implantation process development and sustainment, including process specs, control plans, and inline metric targets.
• Drive yield and defect improvements using SPC, data analysis, and structured root cause techniques.
• Lead process change reviews, risk assessments, and qualifications for new or optimized implant processes.
• Collaborate with equipment engineering, integration, and vendors to align process requirements with tool capability.
• Improve learning speed and cycle time through innovative use of inline metrology and data‑driven monitoring.
