Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise is seeking an Implant Equipment Engineer to own the ion implantation process development and sustainment crucial for high‑volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Materials, Physics, or related field).
• 2+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience with implant process ownership or development.
• OR equivalent military experience, OR Associate degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of Agentic AI or willingness to learn Agentic AI to help develop efficient workflow.

Responsibilities

• Own ion implantation process development and sustainment, including process specs, control plans, and inline metric targets.
• Drive yield and defect improvements using SPC, data analysis, and structured root cause techniques.
• Lead process change reviews, risk assessments, and qualifications for new or optimized implant processes.
• Collaborate with equipment engineering, integration, and vendors to align process requirements with tool capability.
• Improve learning speed and cycle time through innovative use of inline metrology and data‑driven monitoring.

• Experience supporting high‑volume manufacturing with advanced process control requirements.
• Proven track record to analyze complex data sets and drive decisions using statistical methods.
• Familiarity with SPC, DOE, FMEA, and process qualification methodologies.
• Programming or data analysis experience (e.g., Python, JMP, SQL).
