Job summary

Lilac is seeking a Production Supervisor in Fernley, NV to lead a team of Process Technicians responsible for commissioning and operating a new ion exchange bead production unit. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, safety, and continuous improvement in a busy manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a technical A.A.S. or equivalent manufacturing experience, capable of leading rotating shifts, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• A.A.S. in Process Technology or 5+ years in manufacturing in chemical, petroleum, materials, or similar industry.
• Minimum of 6 months of leadership experience in a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Must be capable of passing a respirator fit test and may wear a respirator during operations.
• Willing and able to lead a team on rotating shifts in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership to a team of Process Technicians in commissioning and startup of a new ion exchange bead unit.
• Coach technicians with feedback and recognition; drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with planners to execute daily production plans and short-term resource planning.
• Oversee the Safe Work Permitting process and develop standard operating procedures.
• Train technicians on process and equipment operation, safety, and issue recognition.
• Participate in process improvement, risk management, and problem-solving processes.
