Job summary

MPOWERHealth is seeking an IOM Technologist in Austin, TX to monitor the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves in real time during complex surgeries, ensuring patient safety and rapid response to changes detected in neuromonitoring data.

You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff, interpreting waveforms and documenting findings to support optimal patient outcomes. A sign-on bonus is offered along with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• CNIM certified or CNIM-eligible.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of IONM experience.
• Strong foundation in neuroanatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
• AHA CPR certified; Valid Driver’s License.
• A communicator and a collaborator - equally comfortable working independently or as part of a surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor neural signals in real time during procedures.
• Read electrophysiological data and alert the surgical team when needed.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff.
• Document findings with precision and maintain data integrity.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and training.
